What is Virtual Realm?
Virtual Realm is UTD's roguelike game mode. Every few waves, you choose a card that modifies your run. The mode drops unique gear (Hat, Top, Bottom pieces) that can't be obtained elsewhere.

Normal Mode
- • Top gear pieces (shirts)

Fortune (The Lovers)
Double Unit PlacementsAllows you to place 2 of ANY unit, including unique units. This means 2 Speed Carts = doubled economy. ALWAYS pick this.
MUST PICKThe Lovers
+1 Placement Limit for all unitsIncreases placement limit by 1. Stack multiple for even more units. Essential for solving the economy problem.
High PriorityDamage Cap Increase
+30% Damage CapIncreases maximum damage you can deal. Good for scaling into later waves.
Good ChoiceStat Boost Cards
Various stat bonusesAttack speed, damage, range bonuses. Pick these if no better options.
FillerRecommended Units
Kyito with Duelist trait is the BEST unit for Virtual Realm. His crit-based kit synergizes perfectly with VR modifiers.
With Fortune card, you can place 2 Speed Carts. This fixes the economy problem in VR.
Buffs are still crucial. Make sure Kyito is in range.
Vulnerability debuff helps Kyito deal more damage.
Good for wave clear while Kyito focuses bosses.
Step-by-Step Strategy
Card Selection Priority
Always look for Fortune (Double Placement) or The Lovers (+1 Placement). These cards solve the economy issue and are game-changing.
Reset for Good Cards
If your starting cards are bad, consider resetting the run. Getting Fortune early makes the entire run much easier.
Stack Similar Cards
If you pick The Lovers, try to keep picking similar cards. Consistency in your build is important.
Economy First
Place Speed Cart(s) immediately. With Fortune, you should have 2 Speed Carts generating double income.
Kyito is King
Kyito with Duelist trait should be your main carry. Position him where he can hit the most enemies.
